Order management built for equipment fulfillment.
We built an order and logistics subsystem that handles the relationship between purchased items, payment states, suppliers, and shipments. A machine, its accessories, and spare parts can belong to one customer order while requiring different fulfillment paths.
[ Workflow requirements ]
An order total alone does not tell staff whether funds have cleared, whether financing has been verified, which supplier ships an item, or whether the delivery requires freight. Order administration needs those distinctions before staff can release and fulfill equipment.
[ What we built ]
Equipment Order and Fulfillment System
- Card and bank-transfer payments, payment-status updates, fee and tax calculations, and scheduled checks that reconcile delayed payment confirmations.
- Shipment grouping by supplier, with consolidation rules, weight calculations, and freight-versus-parcel classification based on the order items.
- Parcel shipping for regular package rates, labels, and tracking. Freight shipping for large-equipment quotes based on dimensions, weight, destination, and delivery requirements.
- Staff tools for shipment groups, freight adjustments, separate freight invoicing, label generation, tracking, and delivery-request administration.
[ How the system works ]
The system links purchased items to their shipments, groups them by supplier, and identifies whether they need regular parcel shipping or freight. Shipping integrations obtain quotes and labels. Payment confirmations update payment status separately from delivery status. Staff can review freight and financing before moving the order forward.
[ Delivered capability ]
The implementation gives staff an order record with payment, financing, and shipment context, including mixed equipment-and-parts purchases.
